I am Muhammad Yasir Hanif, a newly admitted medical student at Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, having cleared the MDCAT in 2025.

Medicine is more than a profession; it is a commitment to responsibility, integrity, and service. As future doctors, we are expected to uphold professionalism, ethical conduct, and compassion, not just in our careers but in our daily conduct.

I cleared the MDCAT in 2025 and am honored to have secured admission to Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. Becoming part of this institution is both a privilege and a reminder of the high standards, discipline, and excellence it represents.

As a member of this batch, I look forward to learning, growing, and working alongside dedicated peers and mentors. This journey will be demanding, but it is one we embrace with sincerity, humility, and a shared goal of serving humanity with competence and care.

میں ٹوبہ ٹیک سنگھ کا رہائشی ہوں۔

میں نے ایف ایس سی گورنمنٹ کالج ٹوبہ ٹیک سنگھ سے 2023 میں کی، جس میں 1100 میں سے 994 نمبر حاصل کیے، اور ایم ڈی کیٹ میں 200 میں سے 156 نمبر آئے۔

پھر میں نے ایف ایس سی امپروو کی اور 2024 میں میرے نمبر 1100 میں سے 1028 ہو گئے، اور ایم ڈی کیٹ میں 200 میں سے 183 نمبر آئے، لیکن اس کے باوجود میرا میرٹ نہیں بنا۔

میں نے کسی دوسرے پروگرام میں داخلہ نہیں لیا کیونکہ میرا دل صرف ایم بی بی ایس میں ہی تھا۔

میں یہ مانتا ہوں کہ کسی اور ڈگری کے ساتھ ایم ڈی کیٹ کی تیاری کرنے سے بہتر ہے کہ پورا فوکس ایم ڈی کیٹ پر کیا جائے، کیونکہ اگر ایک سال ڈگری کر کے بھی آخر میں چھوڑنی ہی ہے تو بہتر ہے کہ سو فیصد توجہ ایم ڈی کیٹ پر دی جائے۔

لیکن کسی اور ڈگری میں داخلہ نہ لینے کی وجہ سے ایم ڈی کیٹ 2025 میرے لیے بہت زیادہ اہم ہو گیا، کیونکہ یہ میرا آخری موقع تھا۔

اس کے باوجود میں نے دباؤ نہیں لیا اور بہت محنت کی، واقعی بہت زیادہ محنت کی۔

تو اللہ نے کرم کیا اور میرے 180 میں سے 173 نمبر آ گئے۔

اور الحمدللہ، علامہ اقبال میڈیکل کالج میں میرا داخلہ ہو گیا۔

امید ہے کہ اللہ آگے بھی اسی طرح کرم کرتا رہے گا۔

Assalam-o-Alaikum. My name is Muhammad Haris.
I am originally from Lahore, and I would like to share the journey that led me to MBBS.

I completed my Intermediate from Government College University (GCU), Lahore, where I scored 1119/1200 in 2024. In the same year, I appeared in the MDCAT. Unfortunately, due to certain reasons, I was unable to secure enough marks to gain admission. My aggregate was 93.1, while the closing merit was above 94. I was extremely disappointed at that time, but my parents encouraged me to give it one more attempt.

Motivated by their support, I decided to appear again. I worked hard day and night, and in 2025, I scored 171/180 in MDCAT, with an aggregate of 94.6. I would like to mention that when MDCAT was only one month away, I had enrolled in DVM, but I stayed fully focused on my MDCAT preparation.

Today, I am proud to say that my hard work has paid off. I have secured a seat in Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC)—my dream medical college.

To those facing similar challenges: believe in yourself. Your struggles today will shape your strength tomorrow. Stay focused, consistent, determined, and never give up.
